I want this low-cost MacBook to be a somewhat refreshed design and not just the M1 MacBook Air with an iPhone chip in it. I’m very curious what this “HomePad” thing might look like and what it’ll actually do. And yeah, I need a new Apple TV.

The Guided Learning option in Gemini 3.0 has been useful. Tell it what you want to learn and it gives you short lessons followed by questions to test your understanding. Pretty great way to develop basic knowledge of just about anything.

Nomad did the camera control cutout last year, which I chalked up to developing the cases before they really knew how the button would work (asap release). At this point, that’s a real bummer.

Perhaps this means the physical Apple TV box is in line for a rebrand. Maybe something more “home” focused?

After just a few minutes in the app, this is so good. Well done.

It doesn’t bother me much but yeah…I’d rather they just drop mmWave than force something like this.

Oh yeah I assume it’ll be a mess pretty quickly, but hopefully it’ll pass as a cool “patina.”

Wasn’t sure about upgrading from the Apple Watch Ultra 2 to a 3, but honestly, being able to see the seconds tick when the screen is off is worth it.

It’s only been a few hours but I think the iPhone 17 Pro might be my favorite of the X era. The build feels so great and I can’t get over the orange. Just spectacular.

Amex Platinum refresh is way better than I thought it would be. The annual fee will hurt (next year) but they’ve added a whole bunch of new useful (and easy to use) credits. And a limited edition mirror card!

iPhone Air is the exact same scenario as the original MacBook Air. Crazy thin design with a few compromises and a relatively high price. There’s a clear market for that kind of thing and it worked out pretty well last time.
