I would absolutely move to a commune of black women. But only if it’s trans-inclusive because I don’t believe in women only spaces that exclude trans women. Certain male identifying femmes could be there too but they have to be vetted first lol.

I swear by making tiny replacements. Swap out one juice for a glass of water or one pastry for applesauce etc. it’s a lot easier when the changes are gradual. It feels less like a deficit.

Fighting for partisan politics is certainly a choice. Also US presidential elections are famously *not* a model of direct democracy, as evidenced by the fact that POTUS is not always the winner of the popular vote.

This is such a perfect and succinct explanation. I have had countless conversations in which I’ve tried to raise the alarm on something and the response has been “I’m not really understanding how that could happen” or “that wouldn’t really happen.”

This is actually insane. Why are ten people running full speed at a man they haven’t even SPOKEN to?? Why is he assumed to be undocumented?? Even if he is undocumented this cannot possibly be best practice.

Advice that I ALWAYS go back to is “it doesn’t need to be willingly.” I have depressive episodes that verge towards catatonic and I use that phrase as a mantra to keep myself alive:

“You have to shower, it doesn’t have to be willingly.”
“You have to eat, it doesn’t have to be willingly.” Etc.
