Edward VI was crowned in Westminster Abbey #onthisday in 1547.

The son of Henry VIII and Jane Seymour, he succeeded his father when he was 9 years old.

Edward died aged just 15, probably from tuberculosis, and is buried in the Abbey's Lady Chapel.

This Passageway on St Mary at Hill has a skull and crossbones in the pediment. Why? Because it was the entrance to the graveyard of neighbouring St. Mary at Hill Church.
