Living With Multidrug-Resistant TB in Peru: Kioshi's Journey Every year, nearly 1,500 people in Peru are diagnosed with multidrug-resistant tuberculosis. Kioshi Vásquez faced the disease alone until support from PIH changed his story.

When Kioshi first started coughing, he never imagined it would turn his world upside down.

Misdiagnosed multiple times, he struggled alone.

Thats until he found support from Socios En Salud. He received the care needed to fight his MDR-TB.

South Africa's largest provider of services for men who have sex with men was suspended and now forced to permanently close a key program because of #PEPFAR cuts. The director tells me that he's gotten word that two former clients have already acquired #HIV in the period since the program paused.

Frustration mounts as Uganda faces HIV treatment shortages Health facilities in two different Ugandan regions are out of stock of some lifesaving HIV treatment. The government is scrambling to address any shortfalls.
