Had an incredible time marching in the Motor City Pride Parade today alongside Governor Gretchen Whitmer! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ Pride is more than just a celebration, it’s a powerful reminder that everyone deserves to live authentically and without fear.

I'm incredibly honored to be selected as the Michigan Municipal League's Legislator of the Year! As a state legislator, I believe it's crucial that we support our local municipalities. They provide essential services, foster economic growth, and improve our quality of life.

Grateful to the Bangladesh Association of Michigan - BAM for welcoming me to their iftar dinner last weekend. Iftar is the meal to break the fast during Ramadan, a time of reflection, community, and generosity. It was an honor to share in this tradition and connect with so many wonderful people.

Today, I voted NO on Republicans defunding schools by over $5 billion and cutting 90% of the state's overall budget!
