I guess it was bound to happen, I have COVID for the first time. Don't get me wrong, it sucks, but it is sucking far less than I had imagined. Meaning I'm bad at resting. It does not suck enough to want to stay in bed. Yet the smallest bit of activity leaves me exhausted and feverish.

I turned 43 today. We had a super chill pool party last night and Thai food for brunch. So I spent most of my bday cleaning up the party, not even mad at it. While this is a boring age, I entered it being super relaxed and feeling loved. In today's current climate, that's a win!

I just wrapped up dog/house sitting for a buddy. I always stay an extra day so I can hang with him. Today I realized he gets as sad as the dogs do when I go home. I had to remind him it is almost summer, and there will be random days he finds me in his pool when he gets home from work. 🤣

I fled right after graduation and moved to Denver for a few years because the amount that jobs in Missoula couldn't pay a wage that would cover the cost of living. I wouldn't have even finished college there without fam in TX helping financially.
