sorry 2 say if u actually want to build class solidarity at a large scale ur gonna have to get used to working alongside ppl who don’t perfectly align with u ideologically. stop looking for the perfect org to join & just look for what orgs are actually helping ppl on the streets where u live

i haven’t even heard of that one but yeah the decentralized nature of dsa is a very much double-edged sword. in maine most of our members don’t know/care about national, but we never would have gotten the wins we have autonomously

no argument on indivisible, but if it’s the only game in town may as well see if you can hang out and see if you can find other people looking for something more

the dem adjacency of dsa varies hugely chapter to chapter and even year to year, and nationally there’s nowhere close to a consensus. also most people’s connection to politics is purely electoral, and using that as a way to bring them into the movement pays dividends as long as it’s not the endgame

also, it gets a mid rap but dsa is for real a great place to at least feel like part of a greater whole, even if there isn't a local presence. can't say it won't be a mess or frustrating, but its something. Also nothing wrong with joining lib groups like indivisible to try and get a lay of the land

getting started is for sure the hardest part, but there are 100% people who want to get involved around you. If there are bars or spots that seem chill, try putting up a poster to talk like mutual aid or smthng w/ a meeting time and a protonmail will eventually pay off
