Boy, a few days on Lake Michigan does wonders for the mind and soul. Back to the grind.

I walked approx. 3.25 miles, barefoot on the shores of Lake Michigan. I was overcome with emotion for more than one reason. Among my reasons was recognizing how beautiful and majestic and well, great the Great Lakes are. How short-sighted can some people be that they are okay not protecting them?

Spending time away from home for a few days. It's weird as you get older because I miss the familiarity of my space, but I also crave new experiences. Nothing beats seeing the water and hearing the waves break on the shoreline.

From my evening walk on July 21. I've been able to ealk at least 2 miles every evening for the month of July. Some days were really challenging with air quality and humidity.
