Will be a tough task either way, but looking forward to it all the same.
Going to be some run of Euro away-day, Bohs at the Aviva, and home Euro leg in Feb.
What an achievement this campaign has been so far for Rovers.
Hopefully a suitable tie awaits them in the knockouts to keep the run going ๐คโ๏ธโ๏ธ๐ขโช๏ธ๐ขโช๏ธ
With the FAI National League on the way, it will be interesting how the Ulster teams and leagues will be included in a potential future pyramid.
With the USL now gone, and no Connacht wide league, perhaps a North-West/West League could be developed to be on par with the LSL and MSL.
Knockout football for Rovers in the New Year, unbelievable to achieve and to still be unbeaten and having a great chance of finishing in the Top 8 too is even better.
Hopefully can keep some of our important players for it and keep pushing further.

I agree, Kerry are a great example. Appears the only underages to mention going senior are Mayo and CK Utd, although CK specifically mention the 3rd tier.
With a 3rd tier, more could potentially grow an interest. Of course there would be licenses to sort out as well but bigger LOI would be good
Could also aid in potentially expanding the LOI divisions long term if a pyramid is created as easier to decide who would be eligible for a promotion and would be based off league performances.
Of course, no reason expanding the LOI cant happen in tandem while this is being developed
Itโs a wonder anything gets done in the country during that time
06.12.2024 07:37 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Based on some of the comments referenced, there are too many involved in Irish football that are self serving and cant/dont want to see the bigger picture
This is a change that will allow for better synergy across all levels and is one that should have been done years ago
A step in the right direction. Crazy that sections of the game have been operating unaligned for so long.
Should make the future of completions across levels more interconnected and perhaps the start of building a pyramid
News from the FAI - General Assembly agree to a phased move to an aligned, summer calendar for all parts of the game. Passed with 57% in favour

Bring on the knockouts โ๏ธโ๏ธ๐ขโช๏ธ๐ขโช๏ธ๐ขโช๏ธ

Knockout European football in 2025. Absolutely incredible achievement for all involved. Letโs keep this going! ๐ขโช๏ธ๐ขโช๏ธ๐ขโ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธ

As mentioned earlier in the week, I have a few prints knocking around with slight defects, I don't want to throw them away, so I thought they could find a home here.
Who doesn't appreciate Carlos Valderrama's hair?

As well as that, the FAI has to get all leagues aligned to the same calendar.
The Ulster and Connacht FAโs have Provincial Cups running, but need to reestablish their Provincial leagues. Could maybe invite the LOI clubs into their cups as Leinster and Munster do to generate further interest.
Looking forward to the future articles to come highlighting the fractured state of Intermediate and Junior football in Ireland.
For me, forming those levels into a functioning โnon-leagueโ pyramid below the LOI should be a key focus, and then build a 3rd tier above, rather than build down from LOI
