5. Ladies Vs Ricky Bhel: A terrific cast, but take #parinetichopra and recast every #aliabhatt movie with her, every Bhatt movie will get elevated (before you roll your eyes, watch her in this and imagine her as Rani, thats the movie we deserve).

3. Guru: AB over acts, Ratnam over directs, but Aishwarya, her face, her performance is a divine, hypnotic gift. Rajiv Menon cinematography is soaked in star struck bright lights & Mallika dances like a dream.

2. Birth: Jonathan Glazer has made the sublime (Under your Skin) to the ridiculous (Zone of interest), but his Birth is mesmerising. Kidman gives her career best performance. She casts a spell from the time you lay your eyes on her. The spell stays even after the end credits.

1. Michael Clayton: Tony Gilroy is a genius. Tilda & Tom are excellent. But Clooney is the real deal. He is the most deluxe thing in this movie, as a fixer, his performance piercing, searing, simmering with fear, angst, and smarts.

Ceasefire is good news. I pray for the innocent Pakistani ppl, but not the terrorists they support and hide.
To the apologists in India - any of you SRK,AK,SK, fans try to lecture us. Remember, all complained about erosion of free speech. None thanked the Indian army for keeping them safe.

Watching Ladies vs. Ricky. How good is this cast. Ranveer and Anushaka are so good. Parineeti Chopra is so good. She would have been better than Alia as Rani. (Before you roll your eyes, just watch her. She could do all of Alias' roles as good or better).

Rajiv Menon cinematography captures every shade of the green grass, orange hues in the sky, and the rain drops on her face. Bring back movies that look like this, please....

The way Rajiv Menon has shot this: the lighting, the framing, the blocking 🤌 Brindas choreography - wow. Bring back cinematographers who shoot on film, not digital. Please.
