DeepSeek’s Arrival Is The Start Of Physical AI The implications of the DeepSeek release are massive, but one of the biggest is what this could mean for robotics. This may be the AI silver bullet.

I don’t trust AI to do my online shopping yet. I definitely don’t want a “physical” AI running around my house with easy access to my sharp pointy kitchen knives.

New Research Suggests Overreliance on AI Could Hinder Critical Thinking A study finds that gen AI tools may be "encouraging over-reliance on AI, with confidence in the tool often diminishing independent problem-solving."

Critical Thinking… use it or lose it! Use AI to enhance your abilities, not DIMINISH them. After all, Gen AI is, well, generative, not intelligent.

🔥 Procrastination is an Emotional Response, Not a Time Issue! If you’re stuck in a cycle of delay, it’s time to address the root cause—stress, fear, perfectionism? Once you identify it, you own it. And when you own it, you can change it. #MentalHealth #ProcrastinationSolutions

Roku’s home screen ad experiment crosses the line Streaming-device ads should never get in your way. Roku has lost sight of that. Contributor | Mar 20, 2025 7:00 am PDT Roku has sunk to a new low in the streaming wars, with an experimental ad format that blocks your home screen behind an auto-playing video ad. Roku players recently started playing a trailer for Moana 2 instead of loading the home screen they were turned on. While Roku says the ad is just a test, and that users could manually dismiss the ad instead of watching the whole thing,

PCWorld gets it right - calls out Roku and CEO @rokuone for ham-handed hijack of users viewing experience with obstructive advertising.

HP printer class action suit ends in disappointment Only a few recent models will offer the option to turn down "security updates" that lock you into HP ink. Staff Writer, PCWorld | Mar 29, 2025 9:38 am PDT People are pretty pissed off at HP printers. Wait, hang on a sec, let me revise that statement: People are pretty pissed off at all printers, perpetually, but HP printers in particular have been extremely irksome for the last few years. A class-action lawsuit was filed over HP’s attempts to lock users into its expensive first-party ink, but

‘Dynamic Security’ “feature”(???) locks you into HPs proprietary and expensive print cartridges? Why would any consumer ever want this? I’m with PC World - buy the least expensive B&W laser printer from Brother that fits your needs.
