A food vid came across my Insta so I have chicken marinating for tomorrow. Tomato, shallot, olive oil, then a spice blend called baharat which is new to me, and a little bit of date syrup. Tomorrow I'll add washed rice and some boiling water and bake it. Very excited to see what it's like.

Tried my hand at sourdough discard crackers. I have some work to do with thickness and baking time, but even the dark ones are pretty tasty. These are everything bagel seasoning, planning to try cheese too.

I get hooch a lot and was trying to solve that, primarily. Something I read said I might get a more intense flavor. I think the flavor is fine but wouldn't mind something a little stronger.

I have been giving my sourdough starter a bit of whole wheat flour at feeding time, and im excited to see how it effects the flavor of the loaf.
