I have a meditative guided workshop called "Subconscious Art Exploration." The workshop is based on an art therapy practice called which is world-renowned for helping participants create art from their subconscious to process stuck emotions, resolve traumas, and learn about themselves.

tonight I (mod shroom) will be joining in on the @queerzestzinefest.bsky.social elevator pitch session and talking about our zine! if you're participating in QZZF and want to see me brandish zines around, the opportunity is nearly upon us!
(the session starts at 8pm EST! it'll also be recorded.)
Thank you so much @queerzestzinefest.bsky.social for hosting the love and to the participants who listened to me talking about my work !!!!!!! It was so exciting and fun for me and AAAAAAAAH !!!!!!!! So good !!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you thank you thank you ๐ฅฐ๐๐ป๐๐
28.09.2025 20:31 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0We will then move onto 'making' and sharing our zines and comic projects and some follow up resources on 'finishing' the zines even after the workshop ends!"
6/6
The first part of the workshop will start with introducing some relevant comic works to get some insights. This will be followed by a brainstorming and doodling session with some prompts to start thinking about their own zines / comic projects about Queerness and Food.
5/6
Because food is inherently both deeply personal and political, it sits at the intersection of so much discourse on power, gender, labour, caste, necessity, luxury and care.
The workshop participants will be sent some helpful reading material to get their juices going beforehand.
4/6
Food and stories involving it are a great medium for storytelling about NeuroQueerness because of the care, labour, love, appreciation, politics and power expressed through food.
3/6
The workshop addresses queerness that is not restricted to oneโs gender or sexuality, but the broader understanding and use of the word as a verb to mean something that is subversive, at odds with everything around it, against the grain.
2/6
The "A Spoonful of Queers" workshop recording is now live!
