I would like to see stronger legal rights to protect me on the infrastructure I use to publish my content.

While I’m not publishing negativity to attract attention I still feel vulnerable and I’m searching for a solution that will prevent my voice being erased by furries online.

I think at every point in a chain of infrastructure online there’s vulnerabilities to censorship. I don’t feel even safe publishing on my own website as i don’t own it outright and am vulnerable to many points of attack and censorship.

I know what happened with kiwifarms and why but it was eye opening and follows on from parler and gab. All had reasons but all let me understand the dangers of using and integrating with someone else’s infrastructure that can erase you and your work.

Just a friendly reminder I don’t trust any social media websites, apps, and general websites or furry websites to protect my free speech based on what I’ve been through.

There is one good thing about linking to my wikifur profile on chat apps etc, it puts furries off talking to me so I can focus on my furry business and art projects.

I don’t claim to know everything but I know enough to form a personal opinion.

It’s always disappointing when after talking to new people they run away when confronted with facts that don’t fit their own opinions of the furry fandom.

Not always negative opinions and facts, but a personal vision of reality backed by historical events.

I've done a lot of work on cleaning my personal website up and re-arranging links. There are a few minor issues to fix but I'm working on it and continuing to add more content.

On twitter/x there’s a lot of pressure to post, be seen, have followers and high metrics. It’s depressing if the algorithm doesn’t favour you or the user base doesn’t like you. (Popularity Contest).

I don’t feel any of that here and feel much happier and relaxed about posting or not posting.

I think the proposal for the carbon fiber space elevator is wrong to expect it to stand on the ground, there was a proposal to put an asteroid in orbit and hang a skyscraper upside down from it. I think that would be a better approach to hang a space elevator from the asteroid.

I’ve been thinking a lot over many months, I don’t feel there’s a social site where people won’t try to silence you. While I’m not for silencing others outside of tos moderation I do think going back to my domain as a primary publisher of my content is the right approach to safeguard my speech.

Probably around the time my passport is due for renewal I’m going to apply to add Velivian Fesothe as my alt name on it.

You can add a performer name etc that you might travel under.

I got to say I don’t feel depressed on and browsing Bsky than how terrible I felt on twitter/x

I sent feedback to Bsky I think there should be a profile tab that shows the mobile version of the website we used as our account name.

Obviously keep free accounts tho

As domains cost money and require effort to setup an identity.

I think bots can’t be stopped on social media, the best thing to do as purging accounts gets real people caught up in the purge is to remove follower counts from social media accounts and just keep how many accounts a person follows.

And domains should be used as way to identify a person.
