Just a reminder that the books we call "children's books" are really books written for an audience that includes children, but excludes absolutely no-one at all. They are BOOKS FOR EVERYONE - and you can never, ever be too old to read them, and to love them!

This phrase was used in my family as well. I assumed it was from the Yorkshire side of the family. #JoNadin

The Rights Of The Reader by Daniel Pennac, illustrated by Quentin Blake. 1. The right not to read. 2. The right to skip. 3. The right not to finish a book. 4. The right to read it again. 5. The right to read anything. 6. The right to mistake a book for real life. 7. The right to read anywhere. 8. The right to dip in. 9. The right to read out loud. 10. The right to be quiet.

If you want kids to love reading - LET THEM READ THINGS THEY LOVE! The books we love when we're young are the ones that make us readers, and choice is a right that every reader should have. Never take it away from them! #literacy #reading #kidlit #books
