Thanks for all of the explanation! I now get it in terms of proportional representation. While I'm not thrilled the DFL slate didn't all win, it makes sense that the DFL is not representative of 100% of the city.

This is exactly the point. The will of the voter is completely ignored for who they want for the second and third seats. Since RCV already lets you pick your top 3, then shouldn't all of your top 3 be counted?

Looking at Park Board At-Large, we elect 3, but it appears that only the top RCV vote counted. This is making my math bones tingle in frustration. How does that make sense?

With RCV, you get 3 choices. Shouldn't they all be counted?

In a non-RCV format, would you only vote for 1 of the 3 spots?

What's the likelihood we have Minneapolis mayoral results tonight? I remember RCV taking a couple days to finalize in the past, but I'm more curious as to whether the counting process has improved
