been playing the ps2 brave fencer musashi game and it is sloppy as fuck. the range for the lock on feels extremely sloppy despite it being the core mechanic.

but also it feels a bit more like ocarina than i expected and musashi looks like this. very little "suck" here

something that metroid could actually learn from modern zelda is the willingness to throw old tools away in favor of different tools. both dread and prime 4 still deify the normal suite of power ups with little new.

dread gets a pass because of the aeon stuff but prime 4? nah
