I think you’re either all in or all out when it comes to meetings. It’s the only way to be equitable

I probably now know the soundtrack to KPOP Demon Hunters off by heart. My kids are on at least two watches a day.

I mean it's no problem, the songs are insanely catchy.

I share your sadness about Arc. I'll keep using it but know the clock is ticking now...

Both my washers and dryers are turn a nob, press a button, go. I'd refuse to replace with ones that don't now. Likely you said, what's to boot up?

Office Day? Office Day!

A very hot day with the team in London on Monday welcoming Lewis to the co-working space for the first time.

Raluca's love of stickers shines through whilst our tech team, Howsun, Ivan, Jacob and Andrew Nelis working away on our next release.

Similar vein. Asking ImageGen 4 to write runnable R code produces… very Pythonic looking R gibberish.

Yes thanks for the explanation, I had read it. Just felt pretty amusing

An article on how the writer tried to stop talking about himself, and then proceeds to write an article all about ... himself.

This an AI generated image of "someone coding in R". The code looks a bit like R but not really.

This an AI generated image of "someone coding in R". The code looks a bit like R but not really.

Google Slides wanted me to try using ImageGen 4.
The prompt:
Someone writing code in R that uses the tidyverse suite of packages. the code should be legible and runnable R.

It's like Simlish R. Keeps trying to write it python-y as well.

Makes sense. I mean they’re handy tools and most people have no problem. But let’s be intentional

It can't say which person is talking so its a no from me. Plus you can secretly put it on which is a bit dodgy. I'd rather be overt and use Fathom and get the who's talking piece. Much more helpful.

Potentially, or a synthesizer maybe? I often think when we talk "breadth of skills" softer ones get left behind or ignored.

I'd argue they are good at providing links between specialist roles, so will talk about cross-collaboration, acting as a glue role in organisations. You'll often find it in the breadth of roles and sectors, and how they describe their work

My kids are loving playing to a T by @uvula.jp they named their protagonist Tman and his pet Tdog and it’s hilarious. Here they are starting episode 4.

I’d go one further. If someone puts in a meeting without giving me some kind of heads up first? Auto Reject. Always ask before scheduling.

I have a group of friends (and ex-colleagues) who fall into this "heavy glue guy" demographic, we call ourselves Middleware. And your right, without it things fall apart or can do, but folk just don't reward or recognise it's need. It's often so hard to define.

Its why I ended up going down the self-hosted route with a lot of tools. At least then I can keep it going as long as I want to keep it going.

After our sell out last week, our Wait List is now sat at 25! Will see some cancellations come as we get closer to the race so hang in there if you're waiting.
As we get a batch I'll announce on the page that emails to sign up from wait list are going out, then there'll be 3 days to sign on. 🀞
