Just going through my stream of consciousness It’s okay, I find myself funny enough for all of us.
Boo!

I’ve voted.
Team Cassowary!
My dog is now on an anti anxiety medication, which I get from the people chemist, and it comes with the warning about not operating motor vehicles or heavy machinery.
Which is good to know.
Even though he could reach the pedals, he shouldn’t be driving.
I had a really good talk with a customer about women’s sport and hockey.
She was having issues with a new system and I think just needed a bit of a chat.
Which is part of the customr service role.
I’d like to see AI try and take over my job.
I have taken an anything but a parrot stance.
Which is a life philosophy really
Daylight savings is really messing me up this year.

The disrespect shown to my favourite bird.
More people should love the Australian Raven.
Or as Sydneysiders call it… a crow.
They know because I was walking Winnie past their house and made a comment about the free range rabbit and just how interested he was but they just laughed it off

Bottom of frame is the back of the long neck and head of a a fawn and blue - greyishbrindle greyhound staring at the rabbit with ears up to the side. Greyhound is wearing a royal blue collar with little cartoon greyhounds. Greyhound has focused body language
I essentially have to wait for the rabbit and to run and Winnie will lunge, I hold him back and then we carry on.
I can’t avoid the rabbit because it lives 2 houses down and is frequently on my front lawn.
It’s stressful.
How that rabbit is still alive is a mystery.
Having to hold back a 34kg pure muscle dog who was trained to run after a fake rabbit with my injured dominant hand in a splint. It’s a task.
It’s hard to get a greyhound to move once the brakes are on in general, but impossible with the rabbit.
There is a free range rabbit in my neighbourhood.
I know it not a wild animal because it seems to have no idea it is a prey animal.
It has come face to face with my very interested greyhound.
In fact it moved closer to within metres of my ready to pounce dog.
Luckily I had a good hold of him
Happy new Taylor Swift album day to all those who celebrate
I have listened and I enjoyed it
Petty Taylor Swift is my favourite.
It’s got some truly funny lines in there.
Was I prepared to hear Taylor Swift saying has a bigger dick?
No.
But who can?
I know with the cricket, the women’s game was included in the collective bargaining agreement and that has made a huge difference
I’ve noticed it’s happening across other sports too
I’ve gone to a few pubs and they’ve had women’s football games on.
Invest in women’s sports and it gets results
I really enjoy when news sources specify if it is about the men’s or women’s team.
It’s not just the Australian cricket team and the Australian women’s cricket team
An important step towards gender parity.
Crack in an egg. You can’t make a tasty strudel without breaking some eggs.
Form the dough. Knead until it’s as elastic as the truth.
Set the dough out of sight and out of mind.
I was going to pick the Airtasker that used the OCD line because I like to support women owned businesses.
But that used of the OCD line really bothers me.
Let’s not minimise the distress that can occur by living with OCD.
And I don’t want my lawn to cause obsessive compulsions to anyone.
I’m trying to find someone to mow my lawn because my wrist is in a splint for 6 weeks.
Someone replied to my Airtasker post that her OCD gave her the edge in quest for perfection.
I don’t think this OCD has been diagnosed by a professional.
Because OCD isn’t a marketing tool.
That nature of the digital world just really slaps you in the face with bringing up memories

I’ve told her she needs to be fully vaccinated and to take lots of Tylenol because we need some autism on the team for that competitive edge.
There’s a lot of resources out there from dyslexic specific- dyslexic fonts and things to help read to more general writing help like spell check or grammar checks.
It just starts with sussing out what the issue is.
It legit might be trying to do things too fast and not reading over it
I’m not sure about Google sheets, there would have to be some kind of add on to get a spell check on the browser.
Words as other words are the worst.
I guess all you can really do is a gentle reminder to double check things before they get sent out and if she needs support.
It might be just a reminder to use spell check and take a moment to proof read and make sure names are correct.
I get real annoyed when people reply to an email and they get my name wrong, because it’s right there.
Spell check should pick up the mixed up letters. Not sure what is up with that
It’s just the reality of the situation.
There is also the casual approach that people have of like oh I’m having a dyslexic moment, thst there is a legit chance she may not know she’s dyslexic and think it is a just a thing people do.
As opposed to it being a more constant issue.
My manager has told me that if I had told her at my interview that o was dyslexic, she wouldn’t have hired me.
So, there’s really no easy answer.
But a lot of it is having the awareness of what the issues are and techniques to work through.
I find the best thing is knowing what are the things that cause the issues to then be aware of them.
Sometimes people don’t want to talk about dyslexia to their colleagues because it can be taken against them.
Or they legit don’t know.
It really depends on that the issue actually is.
There are different programs that help with dyslexia but there is a large range of how dyslexia works.
I read words as wrong words and I write the wrong words too, which are actual words so that it won’t be picked up by spellcheck.
I found a program BeeLine Reader was good. There also fonts.
Come on Team Australian Raven!

The free speech activist who built a list of professors he worked to get fired for their speech must be celebrated for his support of free speech, and anyone who quotes his speech accurately in context will be fired and/or face state punishment by the champions of free speech, do I have that right?
