It's worth it because the team clearly didn't bother to balance it, cars literally flip over, they just pushed their physics as far as they could get away with without the hardware crashing.

I've been playing Metaphor Refazio and it feels that way as well, you have these utterly gorgeous 2d painted characters with some very *okay* 3d characters not being very expressive, I guess it's sort of a style at the moment but I feel like you don't get the best of both.

It's really splitting hairs too right because games like Descent, Colony Wars, G-Police and other space shooters on the PS1 supported the dual analogue around the same time so there was a lot of general first person games converging on using twin sticks.

35 years ago, Quickjoy joysticks were basically Quickshot joysticks. Renown for their uncanny ability to spontaneously fall apart if you closed the door too hard, or accidentally left the window open when a gentle breeze was blowing. ๐Ÿคฃ

Yes I keep seeing people whack copies up at crazy prices but I'm quite sure none of them sell, there's heaps of copies out there it's just most of them are people dreaming of selling it for silly money.

Little bit of trivia about twin sticks in FPS on PS1: Medal of Honor in 1999 pips Alien Resurrection to the post on having modern FPS controls. BUT, the only reason why it's a lesser-known example is because they're buried away as the *fourth* option after a couple of really odd ones.

For those unaware, this might be one of Nightdive's weirdest remasters. They took the PC and N64 versions of Forsaken - basically two different games with completely different levels - and stapled them together into a frakensteined hybrid.

It works surprisingly well.

That killed the studio. Nice to see this gameplay for the first time in 25+ years, and nice to see theres still critics mad about the game."

Checking an old video (10 years) I uploaded on Team 47 Goman/Watchy and one of the team members of the game dropped in just recently with some interesting details about some unfortunate acquisition timing, bless!

we completely finished Silent Hill f last night. all five endings. Ryukishi07 is a world-class talent, one of the few writers I would compare to Hideo Kojima/Shuyo Murata and the like. After around three full playthroughs I learned to "find the fun" in its bad dark souls combat
