To add, Mephiles begs for the right to exist as he loses, implying his entire state of being had been erased, AKA the flame of Solaris, so he didn't even get to materialize in the current "timeline", the events of 06 were prevented and the characters clearly don't remember it

I feel the biggest piece of evidence against characters remembering the events of 06 was Mephiles' appearence in SxSG, it doesn't make sense for Sonic and Silver to remember each other and for Shadow to be the only one to not remember any of it.

People point to TSR for how Sonic and Silver reference 06, except I'm almost certain they're talking about their rocky introduction in Sonic Rivals, some people say that one isn't canon because it didn't release in Japan, but Takashi Iizuka literally directed it so...?

I do think Sonic 06 needs a remake... Not just so we get a less glitchy game, but because we really need to put to rest the discussion about its canonicity.
People STILL debate how canon 06 really is, which to me it's obvious it happened, but it's not "in the timeline" anymore, but some disagree

Today's the day! So excited that this movie is finally out in the world. I'm so proud of the work we've done making this the biggest and best Sonic movie yet. It's an absolute labor of love from everyone involved and the perfect way to cap off a great year for Sonic and Shadow.

I luckily only provided a colored sketch, but I believe the reference they provided is a traced version of @astaranell.bsky.social 's work, who they also scammed!
There are other artists who've been scammed by this same user so please beware!
