Today I had the great honour of delivering an inaugural lecture at The Faculty of English, Adam Mickiewicz University. Standing in that space, I was reminded of the responsibility that comes with having a voice—and the promise I once made to always use mine to speak to what truly matters. (1/5)

Working hard to tap into my resources of queer joy for Thursday lecture on queer joy in Shakespeare with my favourite books. I'm trying to create space for the difficult and painful and still generate joy 💚🌈 Keep your fingers crossed🤞

But their curiosity and thoughtful engagement reminded me how alive and relevant these texts remain, especially when read through the lens of fairness, power, and justice. I left the session energized and grateful — inspired by their openness and their passion for learning. #teaching #earlymodern
