It’s legitimately suffocating and I barely enjoy talking about anything anywhere with most people now.

Don’t know if I’m just so unlucky to encounter this a lot but I completely despise the toxic positivity/tone policing shit that is so rampant in a lot of places now. Feels like it only gets pulled when an opinion is inconvenient to them and always done by the most passive aggressive vicious people.

Was so surprised to see this much defense of it with NG4. I at least thought the expression guys would understand the importance of that granularity with how much that shit can make a difference in high level combo play, but nope. Just full on defense. Lol

I will never understand Suck To Target defense. It's a terrible mechanic even in Spikeout/God Hand where it only barely changes your direction, even THEN ambiguity can screw u over. The best you can say is that it's a necessary evil because manual aiming would be too precise

The jiggle is too essential. Bolted on snowglobes just can’t do it.

It’s goated

Just a really brilliant mix of routing with some subtle (and not so subtle) brutal randomness that throws evil wrenches into your gameplan. So you’re always on edge, it’s a very tense game. Also has some of the best enemy ai in an action game despite coming out in 1985. Amazing.

Ninja Warriors Again handles its spawning very similarly. I remember hearing there was never more than 4 enemies at once and I didn’t believe it at first. But I checked and sure enough it’s true. It certainly feels like more with how compact and chaotic things get.

In GnG, if you look at any one part of the game, there’s often not more than 3-4 enemies at a time. But it feels like so much more because enemies are usually constantly spawning in, and from all sorts of angles, often throwing projectiles. Creates this very frenetic pace.

I assume that’s the version they use for the Arcade Stadium versions as well.
