When the vote happened in 2024, the Government had only been in office for two weeks and didn’t have the £3 billion needed to end the cap responsibly. The choices we’ve made since then mean we can now scrap it permanently in a fully costed way

✅ From April 2026, families will get Universal Credit & Child Tax Credits for every child, not just two.

Forestry isn’t just about trees — it’s about people, places and prosperity.
I was delighted to sponsor Confor's event in Parliament to bring MPs together to show how investing in UK forestry can create over 40,000 rural jobs, strengthen local economies, and help Britain hit Net Zero. 🌲💚

I was honoured to lay a wreath at the Cenotaph in Stirling on Sunday. It was an important moment to pay tribute to those who gave their lives in the service of their country.
Thank you to all those who came out to pay tribute across our communities.
We will remember them.
Today, we pause to remember.
Across Stirling & Strathallan and the UK, we honour the courage and sacrifice of those who served and continue to serve in our armed forces. Their legacy lives on in our freedoms, our communities, and our shared commitment to peace.
Lest we forget.
Ahead of Remembrance Day next week, I laid a poppy in the Garden of Remembrance at Westminster on behalf of the communities of Stirling & Strathallan.
It was a moment to reflect, remember, and honour those who gave everything in service to our country.
