the last title of Nightwood Editions' Fall 2025 season! it's still very cool to have a small role in the release of novels and poetry collections after working for a magazine for years. I'm looking forward to the Spring 2026 books now... which feels far away and right around the corner!

Yesterday I got the notification that my first ever Canada Council grant was rejected. I was hoping for at least something to help with my upcoming residency at the Al Purdy A-frame. Alternating between anger and sadness, my only solace is learning that others have felt this same feeling.

have people started to believe that support for a political party has to look like a cult because of the Republican party in the US? another thing that they ruined is the movement away from people supporting an effective politician to instead support the most outrageous and viral politician?

a man stands with his back facing forward and arms outstretched towards a white dove surrounded by two white bright spots.. The sun is on the right hand side with its rays beaming down onto him. The Bamm’s Snack Shack Logo is beside him and below the sun. It has a yellow 9 pointed shape layered underneath a blue cloud. in red, the text read’s β€œBAMM’s” and in black β€œSnack Shack.”

Text in white: A culinarily inclined poetry event. We are bringing you a selection of Ottawa’s brightest poetic minds; tasked with challenging BAMM’s chefs to interpret their poems and provide a dish based on their composition.

A fluffy dark grey cloud is below the text and the man. Text within the cloud: 09 August, 2025/starting at 6pm
