Confused pasta guzzler. He/him. Can talk endlessly about BoJack Horseman, The Simpsons, The Big Lebowski, The Wire. Free software enjoyer, terrible scripter. Musical holy triad: Frank Zappa, Jello Biafra, Fabrizio De André. Childless cat dad.

Sorry Bozo, you can pardon far-right insurrectionists in your own country only.

He promised to abandon the rest of the world, yet I bet he wishes we still were in the 70s, when the USA financed and organised golpes to overthrow democratically elected left-wing governments.

To be fair, in Italy we are now at a historical maximum in terms of occupation.
Problem is, the average wage is not enough to live.
Many people in line at soup kitchens work full time jobs.
Inflation ramps up and wages do not follow.
Only high end jobs allow a good living. The game is rigged.

Him, who simply inherited the company he's the head of from his father, who got it from his father, who again got it from his father. Simply like that, without any merit, without having to do anything, without working hard for it and surely without any risk at all.

When I read this the first time, I immediately thought about Guido Barilla, president of the eponymous multinational, when he gave a speech reprimanding young people for not working hard enough, not taking enough risks and instead "staying on the couch taking subsidies".

Notacoward in Hacker News: "Entrepreneurship is like one of those carnival games where you throw darts or something.
Middle class kids can afford one throw. Most miss. A few hit the target and get a small prize. A very few hit the center bullseye and get a bigger prize. Rags to riches! The American Dream lives on.

Rich kids can afford many throws. If they want to, they can try over and over and over again until they hit something and feel good about themselves. Some keep going until they hit the center bullseye, then they give speeches or write blog posts about "meritocracy" and the salutary effects of hard work.

Poor kids aren't visiting the carnival. They're the ones working it.

One of the best quotes I've ever seen.

That's why I don't like Muck being called Elmo. It's unfair to our red Muppet.

I don't disagree at all. Nobody said or implied that, though, so it's an unnecessary counterpoint.

This reply means you still are.

The post isn't excusing or defending her. Just saying that, since she is in jail, it means a lot of people who aren't should be as well.

Is he Jewish too?

Isn't Trump's SoS Rubio? Blinken was Biden's, last I checked.

"Literally a few degrees": stepson of a friend of the father of his associate 🤣

Being the son in law of a lifelong friend of the father of Epstein's associate sounds like a pretty weak link if you ask me. But maybe that's just me.

And how is that relevant? What did RM do, exactly, aside from being Ghislaine's father? Last time I checked, people were not held responsible for their adult children's deeds.

This user: accuses anyone who doesn't share his antisemitism to defend paedophiles

Also this user: "I'm not saying anything".

"Crazy much??" You remind me of that one guy driving on the wrong side of the freeway saying "look at all these maniacs going the wrong way!"

"Digging"? You are hilarious. Looking at a few posts on a social I open once every six months doesn't make you the NSA.
FYI, I hope BN, BS, IBG all rot in the same 3x3 cell for the rest of their hideous lives together with all their beloved settlers. Not an excuse for linking JE with being jewish.

Except it is.

Lol. You're clearly just trolling, but I'll humour you anyway until I get bored of you.

Not defending anyone, just calling out blatant antisemitism.

Baffles me how you can proclaim yourself to be against MAGA when you clearly have the same thought process.

That's exactly the point. It doesn't matter if he didn't say anything untrue, it's constructing a precise narrative that outed his prejudice
He took a bunch of jewish people he didn't like he could connect one another and placed a David star on them like the nazis did to say "See? They're all jews!"

Well, as an Italian, I can't fully disagree, but I have to remark how much ours is better or they'll revoke my citizenship.

Then again, where would he be safe? In Nazareth, he could live under apartheid. In Bethlehem, he could be killed/kicked out of his home by the army or some settler. If he seeks refuge in Italy hoping to go to the Pope, he would be transferred to a detention center in Albania if he's lucky.

I wonder how those poor people are doing now that Myanmar is again under a military dictatorship. Euphemistically, I doubt things are any better.

There's a saying in Italy, "It always rains on what's wet".

Damn, there's always a more unfortunate minority people can unload their frustration and self-righteousness on. I remember Rohingya for being people even an icon of democracy, peace-advocacy and redemption like San Suu Kyi would do close to nothing to protect against persecutions.

I'm not one to advocate for mob justice, still I wouldn't disapprove if people who suffered any kind of loss from their gross incompetence and dishonesty paid them a visit with lit torches and pitchforks (to evoke the historical image, not saying Texans are yokels or anything).
