I bought stuff yesterday... from two local businesses (Road Crew Coffee & Cycles, Local Harvest) in my neighborhood. What if we kept it going?

It took seeing adult bullies to understand that my childhood bullies didn’t even really want to hurt me, they just wanted to feel powerful and how I felt about it wasn’t even in the equation.

I can’t imagine someone not outgrowing that, but apparently it happens quite a lot!

I just came back from Big Bend National Park and it was staggeringly majestic. I used to only want to visit places that had green forests, but Joshua Tree won me over last year. I now have an appreciation for how vibrant a desert can be in its own way.

This cold snap is making for more work for St. Louis firefighters as squatters escape the cold inside vacant buildings, where warming fires get out of control. Capt. Joseph Neidel worked one today in Hamilton Heights. Years ago we reported that 40% of all working fires were in vacant buildings.
