The first season is the only one that reality follows the books faithfully, and even then they cut out stuff that was too hard.

Eventually you can just see Hollywood everywhere. The plot no longer follows the characters, but the characters become puppets of the plot.

I guess somebody never read the books. The last few seasons were almost unwatchable.
