This was an Arc read, I was hooked by chapter 2!

Adventurous - FMC embarks on a wild journey to save herself and her people.

I struggled with the amount of details at the 50%-70%. Overall, a really interesting story!

Just finished this yesterday. Non-spoiler💭

- I have come to realized that as I age, I prefer older FMC/MMC’s. I struggled with the 17 and 18 year olds.
- It was a slow pace and lots of information to world build.
- As it continued, the plot thickened and by the end it had me interested!

For me it was the writing. I think the story was there but it felt like so much detail went into small things while (what I thought was important) was brushed over. The hunger games like trials the MMC went through just didn’t connect for me either.

It feels like everyone raves about it. I got to a point where I started to skim through the book hoping for more but DNF’d moving on. Glad I’m not alone!
