The new house I'm supposed to be moving into is on the top of a really big hill overlooking a town and some villages and I think it'd be really cool to put up a giant trans flag up for everyone in the valley to see and I could point my house out to queers I meet.

That's really interesting! What do you mean? I do feel like sometimes there are similar things with discussion of Japanese video games but I think it's not so overwhelming

I guess I'm alluding to the last arc of Hunter x Hunter because that's what I'm watching right now but I see this kind of thing all the time

I feel like you can say the same for video games and comics and most online communities tbh but idk I feel like anime is the one I've found the worst as a casual fan

I'm an outsider but anime communities online always feel so... reddity. Just a complete refusal to engage with any discussion about misogyny or queerness or racism even when in the text and weird anti intellectualism. It really sucks because I'd love to hear more meaningful discussion about anime

Like I really enjoyed that anime about how transphobia is really bad. Time to be really transphobic. I don't understand how people can be so dissonant.
