In our @bmj.com editorial @jessrmorley.bsky.social @eleanorbarry.bsky.social & I argue that while AI in healthcare promises transformation, it rests on three flawed assumptions that risk worsening inequalities π

Ahead of the NHS 10-yr plan, we ask what a digital first strategy means for the NHS's commitment to "being for everyone," highlighting:
1. Digital Exclusion
2. Entrenched bias
3. Austerity & the SDoH
I am currently thinking, writing, and talking a lot (probs an annoying amount) about the limitations of focusing all of AI's attention on personalised medicine. It is, therefore, really very annoying that I cannot for the life of me *ever* type the word "individual" correctly the first time round.
