Game 2 of the U2050 Amateurs in Liverpool.

After a tough loss yesterday, I prepared thoroughly against the Budapest and King's Indian, seeing that my opponent had played both in the past.

I was happy to see her go for the Budapest, I'd prepped this exact line until Move 16.

Very pleased with the move I found to win the game here. Can anyone see what my next move was and why it's winning?

Qh4 right? Threatening Ng4... Finding it difficult to see a good move for white, maybe f3? But then Bb6+ and white loses the queen. Yeah maybe black is miraculously better here.

Real change is coming.

The Greens and Zack Polanski joined the smearing campaign against Corbyn last time. They refused to endorse him when he was on the verge of winning.

Granted, it's a different party now, but if this new party quickly polls higher, the best tactic for the Greens will be to work with them.

This time we won't have an internal campaign undermining them with lies at our doors.

I'm so happy to see this and finally feel the Left can get some momentum.

I was quite near the front when I reached Whitehall. About 20 minutes after arriving, the end of the march hadn't even reached Holborn, nearly 2 miles away... Insane.

There were also speeches from the amazing Apsana Begum, Hamza Yousif and Zarah Sultana, amongst others.

After 5000 Rapid Games, I have finally executed this Smothered Mate. I have been in a position to pull it off a couple of times, but my opponents have just resigned.

(We won't talk about how I was in a completely losing position had he just xe4...)

Oh you were there this weekend too?? Just saw your name in the Minor section! After my 4-hour, 68-move epic (in which I somehow drew after exchanging my queen for a rook and knight) on Friday night, I was seriously considering taking Saturday morning off to down as many beers as possible...

Rewatching the F1. My god Max, what the fuck was that? Absolute horror show in the final laps. Also, NICOOOO ULKENBERRRRG. #SpanishGP

It's a big shame not to get that winning feeling at all, but the final draw (against an experienced 1840) felt good.

Performance rating only 1644, so way below my ECF. But with better prep I could've had at least one win and that would've put it much closer.

1 loss, 4 draws in my first ever FIDE chess tournament.

Must say I was not prepared in the first couple of games, but my loss was probably my best performance!

Learned so much about what I need to do to prepare. I'll be stronger for the next one!

Amazing event though, loved every minute.

2 draws against 1600 rated players and a loss against a 1900 in my first FIDE tournament, despite 96% accuracy. Man, I really need to sharpen up. One more game, I gotta win this...

Sorry, rant over but I'm so tired of this.

Honestly so tired of @chess.com doing nothing about blatant cheats. They keep making all this content and whatnot about how they're doing a "great job" but once you get beyond 1800 the amount of obvious cheaters that get away with it is staggering.

"oh but it's a six year old account" I thought. Surely they can't be cheating... Their six year old account 👇

Here's where I started to get real suspicious. Any human would play Rc1 here, surely. But they played Ke2. Like that's madness to me. It was the second best move in the position. Funnily enough, they played a lot of second best moves in this game...

Plays the Cow opening and once they're out of it, it's so clear they turn their engine on. That was a ruthless game, very complicated and they just kept finding best moves. I mean who pins themselves three times in a row? No 2000 ELO human would do that, I'm sorry.

Just played a game against the most obvious cheater I've ever come across. It's absolutely ridiculous that @chess.com would even think they're doing a better job on catching cheaters. They're not. If I don't see that ELO back in my account soon I'm gonna lose my mind.

If you want to improve your Chess, I couldn't recommend Chess Vibes (NM Nelson Lopez) enough. He does an excellent of explaining concepts in a more accessible way than anyone else. If you're under 1600 I guarantee your chess will improve watching his rating climb videos.

Always been a big fan of Tsunoda, but this is awful. Really poor performance this weekend. Needs to pick himself up for Monaco.

Alex Dunne is an absolute machine. Would love to see him get an opportunity in F1. #ImolaGP
