it was mostly commons and uncommons but there were a handful of pretty rare cards (including a lich's mirror). I finally got the chance to ask the owner and they said I could keep 'em all!

My boss asked if I was a germaphobe after I didn't take a dirty pipe cleaner she proffered me. She then said (unprompted) that she'd "lick the salt off the entire floor if [she] got a day off" 😟

This is one of my oldest Switch games. Twice I've gotten halfway through the game and reset my save because I was bored of how slow it was.
I named my partner Eevee "Lily". It was the only Pokemon I used for 95% of the game. The other 5%? Venusaur and Nidoqueen for the (very few) times Lily fainted.

Partner Eevee makes playing a Kanto game bearable. Everything is slow and tries too hard to remain faithful to RBY. The controls are bearable, but coming off the heels of Pokemon GO fever definitely hurt the game a bit. There's also a funny eleventh-hour addition.

about to inherit a box of magic cards about a year after I inherited a box of pokemon cards

found out today that you can remove sharpie from a dry-erase board by...scribbling a dry-erase marker over it and erasing it. what kinda videogame-ass solution is that? overwrite the sharpie with the correct drawing tool and you can erase both? i'm gonna be thinking about this all night

We're doing a donation campaign where people can donate by buying paper hearts we put up, and a few people leave without writing their name.
So I pick random/funny names to write on those. Imagine my surprise when I look at the store's front door and the heart in the center has "Hatsune Miku" on it

It took a long time to build! The next model may be a ways off. I've gotta organize my shelf so I've got room for everything.

It's not very posable, which doesn't bother me much. The mouth opens a little, and the arms have joints, but the long tail is static and doesn't even have a socket on the end to allow for the whole thing to move.

Miraidon! My biggest, most expensive, and second-most detailed model yet. It gets really close to the game's model by having a lot of tricky stickers, some no thicker than a pen line and most requiring near-surgical precision to place correctly. I'm thankful for my tweezers...

BATTLE WISE both designs are cool

- "Set" mode, not "switch".
- No purchasing healing items from shops or using healing items I have 1 of.
- Caught Pokemon in my 5th and 6th slots cannot be used in battle if my main 4(5) have fainted. I must waste Pokeballs until they faint.
- Only held items allowed are Mega Stones and Amulet Coin.

Restrictions:
- Only four Pokemon, until catching Xerneas - then five.
- No TMs except Flash and Rock Smash (for their field properties). This greatly limits my movepool.
- Catch the first wild Pokemon of each type. Once a Pokemon is caught, you must flee any future encounters.

8. Pokemon X
I've beaten Y a couple of times, but this is my first time beating X. Xerneas is so, so much better than Yveltal.
Hall of Fame team: Chesnaught, Bibarel, Florges (Yellow Flower), Charizard, and Xerneas.
I placed arbitrary restrictions on myself to make the game more challenging, too.

machine buffs too, making the unpopular ones better at what they do and getting rid of an annoying pinball effect on a few others

thematic buffs to riders like bandee's spear helicopter making flight easier as well as necessary ones making the bottom 3 riders slightly better
