InfoSec “nerd who can talk”. Louligan Wrangler-In-Chief. The word for the year is “accept”.
Same, which is crazy to think. The time, sweat, money, etc I’ve put into soccer in STL and saturdays are for seeing friends now with the apathy towards the team.
There’s nothing to be excited about, save the hope of Burki scoring a goal (can tell he wants to!).
End the 3 year failed experiment.
Absolutely awful.
We’ve had 15 years of mediocre/bad soccer we’ve watched, with a few good seasons.
This isn’t a coach, players, or competition.
It’s a systemic issue.
Top down.
The club’s identity is disappointment and marketing, not winning soccer.
New direction and leadership needed.
The stutter pk is the worst thing in soccer.
Forward momentum stops. End of story. The goalie left because momentum stopped.
Ban the stutter step bullshit.
First time since 1961 there won't be a Buck or Kelly broadcasting sports in STL.

I’m going inside.
And was back in my car and gone before they were done.
That generation has been the downfall of the American society
Yes, it's Bobby Bonilla Day.
In our house, we celebrate another bad decision by a New York state based team:
Happy Ryan O'Reilly Day. Seven years ago today, the Sabres trades ROR to the Blues; 346 days later, ROR's stated goal of bringing the Cup to STL happened.
I’m getting to be in the same place.
The club has no identity…energy drink soccer, then clueless, now lacking unity.
Marketing that has fuck all to do with soccer. Lawyers making decisions.
Soccer is woven into the STL community for 150 years from preschool not fashion shows.
This ain’t it.
Holy shit. Just when you thought it couldn't get any more tone deaf than not allowing empty water bottles during the heat, the team then does this hot garbage:
stlcitygo.com/collections/...
A fashion brand that's in second to last place.
In the words of Jason Isbell, this ain't it, baby.
The penguin already bailed. Slow, can’t fly, moves in clusters…if they had all white feathers they’d be in the starting XI.
Three coaches in three years, and not making the well respected interim coach permanent…gonna be a “pass” from successful managers.
Shots are wild as he gets no space, or two collapse on him as they know he WON’T pass.
It’s diva behavior from a guy that can’t go 60.
There’s a LOT of problems, and it seems a lot of “fan” frustration is people not watching the off the ball play. The talent is good enough. The culture is not.
And then there’s no wing to outlet to and start the counter. The opposition has clogged the center since it’s glaringly obvious that’s what we’ll do.
Then Klauss pouts because he didn’t get the ball. He’s lost speed, and defenders KNOW if he gets the ball, he’s charging up center and shooting…
Josh and Hiebert get focused on because of how much they’re adapting to cover holes in the shit system. The mids are clogging the center, so opposition can come wide and swing in. With the 3 back system, the aforementioned passing lanes are free and clear. It’s up to the CB to cover both sides…
15.05.2025 15:30 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Blaming the backs for this is scapegoating. The 3 back with a floating 4th is for high press fast offensive play. Heibert and Yaro are just behind Kessler for clearances stats. Trying to find the heat maps…we noticed how much they cover. Yaro gets shit on by some fans…
15.05.2025 15:30 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0The passing lanes are never used. Center cluster, no wing use. Opposing teams have figured it out. Brad called it on a play in the 1st before it happened: KC collapsed the D to bunch up the center cause they knew the wing wasn’t going to get used. Then the lanes were wide open for their counter…
15.05.2025 15:30 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0It’s few dribbles, pass. There’s no using the ball to make space.
LW-LB-CB-LB-CB passing with no advancement, not even testing the opposing press. Give-and-go is rare, and the get back pass rarely happens successfully. It’s a formation of function, not opportunity.
And the formation leads to….
Creative players are held back. Several times we saw Celio or Watts spark up, and then think, and pass. Instead of break out and GO, pass back. Their instincts have been system’d out of their game.
Which also exposes the reliance on a failing formation…there is no swift transition….
@demunbrun.bsky.social and I talked a lot post game…while we saw an unfair amount of shit games in our 15 years of doing this, last night was maybe the first we regretted staying for the game.
Brain dump (thread):
The signings, the coaching, the system all fall squarely on the shoulders of one. Allowing that one to continue falls on the shoulders above him.
It’s about “his system” he told us about since day one. No signings from his Arayan FC Rolodex can make it work.
Talented players are handcuffed.
Saw @skeetsapp.com as a recommended iPad BS app….had it for about 6 minutes and think it’s pretty much the gold standard. After I use it for a bit, if it still seems to be this good, definitely paying for it.
Well done.
They were more afraid of losing than were driven to win.
Need to jettison 47, 4, 72.
10 is a 3rd liner at best. 55 still hurt IMO.
25, 89 not big game guys. Need A LOT more.
50 stole games. 18 legendary. 17 a steal.
The kids won’t forget this pain. 6, 63, 76, 21, 81 will be driven.

The way we’ve just been able to turn it on has got to worry WPG. This “oh yeah time to play” is crazy.

Thank you.

Dodge Durango, “TRUMP24” license plate.
Middle age white guy driving. I know, I was STUNNED too.
Also, awful announcers.
Quit trying to make “city slickers” a thing.
