@divergentdissentdeux I absolutely do not understand the point that you're making, but I'll tell you this. Just because somebody made a youtube video about it, that does not make them automatically correct in what they're saying. Absolutely anybody can make a youtube video. There's not even a little bit of control or any requirements for accuracy or nuance or verification or truth. I respect the work that Alec has done and the points he's bringing up that I've never thought of before, and this has definitely affected my opinion on bodycams, but I think he goes too far in dismissing bodycams entirely. It is problematic to have the cops in control of the footage and that needs to change. But just the fact that bodycam footage is used against suspects is also not reason to get rid of bodycams. The goal here is truth and justice. That doesn't mean that we only want evidence that exonerates people. We want the truth, one way or another. The goal is to get unbiased evidence with access to both parties so that the truth comes out in the courtroom.
@divergentdsentdeux Bodycams don't hold the police accountable unless you follow through. A bodycam is a device that records exactly what happened, so it's not just your word against the cops. You will probably need a good attorney to help you get justice. What are the details of your case? If you have a good case, you should submit the bodycam video to YouTube channels such as Lackluster and the Civil Rights Attorney.

The headline does not convey how completely batshit this story is. The Archive Today (archive.ph etc) admin weaponized the site's captcha to attack a blogger who wrote about them and *altered archived screenshots* as part of the attack.
