Every reputable expert I know considers mRNA vaccine technology to be one of the most revolutionary advances in medicine in our lifetimes. Its inventors won the Nobel Prize in 2023. Shutting it down now is pointless self-harm to humanity.

Post from RFK Jr.’s Twitter account that says

Genes don't cause epidemics. They may provide a vulnerability, but you need an environmental toxin β€” and we know what it is. It's sugar and ultra-processed foods.

Genes also don’t confer honesty, integrity or leadership skills, Mr. Kennedy.

On his decision to end $500M worth of research on mRNA vaccines, RFK Jr. said:

β€œThe the data show these vaccines fail to protect effectively against upper respiratory infections like COVID and flu”.

These vaccines saved 3.2M lives in the U.S.

He is running a disinformation op against Americans.

You will get your mRNA-based neoantigen therapy in China, if you have the means to get there and pay for the treatment.

I'm a scientist, worked with mRNA my whole career. This is breakthrough fuel. The only thing I can synthesize is that he's working for a hostile government. Disable our ability to create rapid responses, then the fatal virus emerges. He dismantled the system to rapidly respond to a threat.

On the Talking Biotech podcast series we are discussing the 10 year anniversary of @IARCWHO 's landmark classification of #glyphosate as a probable carcinogen. I'm looking for anyone that wants to defend this classification and the literature suggesting undue risk from this product. DM me!

Technically speaking, you do have a point. I was just consumed in sadness and disbelief. Victims of disinformation.

She's not too sure about how this works. I wish that I could buy her a beer and a pizza and draw it out on napkins. It breaks my heart that something as elegant as mRNA is so poorly understood.

Another giant in the history of biotech hhas left us. Dr. William Rutter was central in many seminal discoveries in biotech. He isolated the gene for insulin (from rats), and I remember reading his 1969 paper that demonstrated three major RNA polymerase activities. He also founded Chiron.

I love that time has been kind. What I said back then, the stuff that led critics to go after my career and livelihood, is still true today. I'll ride the slander to the grave. But the good news is there's nothing they can do to me now. I survived, and am more empowered to teach and inform. #effem
