The latter question stands though, I know my one motorbike crash happened because I rolled off reacting to something ahead but I had lean angle that caused the bike to drop under me. Maybe that happened to Fusco?

Playing devil's advocate here a bit, seeing the crash there's roughly 3 seconds between the start of Granados crash to when he gets wiped out. I'm not sure how much time Fusco had to react to the yellow flag, and if he did react how much that may have actually contributed to him crashing himself?

From seeing past Pecco interviews that sounds more like his style. Much more "These are my observations" rather than trying to throw anyone under the bus.

But if you tell the stewards AND the public then you guarantee the stewards HAVE to look at it.

Don't get me wrong I don't like it either. Would I rather riders didn't do it? Hell yeah! But a rider is there to become a champion, not win a popularity contest because they didn't say anything.

I understand that view point, but I also understand why riders do it. You can't risk that the stewards may have missed it and lose the potential advantage it'd give you. You don't become a world champion by being nice & not pointing out a rule being broken because you're concerned about your image.

An observation here: If it was the other way round and Pecco had run the red light you can guarantee the Marquez brothers would have mentioned it if they thought that it may give them an advantage. You're at the peak of the sport you try and get anything to go your way if you can.

There should be penalties. There won't be because it's MotoGP and it's a series that can't get itself right but if you cause a delay of start because you just abandoned your bike on the grid you should be penalised.
