Max chortles at the pathetic throw.

“Come on, try harder loser!”

Max just laughs even harder at the cry.

“Haha, loser! Can’t even take a football to the head, huh?”

“Uhhhh no! It makes me think, nerd!”

Max’s lip curls. He looks left and right, just to make sure no one else is around.

“I’m not falling for that twice. You’re not even a good ghost, or a — a — hally-cination. Now pick up. My. Football. Or. Else.”

At that, Max lets out a laugh.

“You’re not the first person to say that you know! Buuuuuut okay, chick! Starve up there if you want! I’ll let all the teachers know you’re skipping class, nerd!”

Aww BOO HOO NERD. I’m gonna put you in a toilet

“Hey — HEY!!”

He yells up at her aggressively.

“Get back down here!! You can’t stay up there forever!”

Max chortles, sufficiently big, dumb and stupid for now.

“Fine, uh, Nobody! I’ll make sure you’re invisible to everybody. Including the rest of your little nerd friends. Now go pick up that football like I asked.”

Max fakes a run to the football once she throws it. He leers down at them, and then laughs.

“What’s your name? Nerd chick? You a chick?”

Terrified.

He believed Richie would NEVER skip school. Right? RIGHT??? So obviously this kid in front of him had to be a ghost. Or a cryptid. He couldn’t wait to get away fast enough. But then… he had a thought.

If he punched it hard enough, Richie would just go away! Right?!

Max laughs again, flexing his biceps. He walks close to Charlie, getting in their face so close he could spit.

“Now give me my football back.”

Max chortled, raising his arms to invite laughter from an invisible crowd.

Max drags his skeletal hands along the length of the lockers, digging deep gouges. Ever since he was killed by those nerdy prudes, he’s been out for revenge. And revenge he shall have.

“Oh neeeeerds! Come out, come out wherever you are!”

I’m gonna PUMMEL the next NERD I SEE !!!

Max felt affronted, to say the least. He ruled the school. This was his domain! Who was this nerd to take his football??

“Give that back! Don’t you know who I am?!”

“Hey! HEY!”

Max chased after the nerd, indignant at the very idea of his football being taken. No one stole from the Jägerman! He was king of the school. He was king of the town, the world! Everyone bowed down to him. Except this one.
