I'm not a big golf or tennis fan, but in just the last few months I have watched Mcllroy complete the grand slam in a play off and now listened to the end of Alcaraz coming back from 3 championship points down to win an epic French Open Final while waiting for a train. I love sport.

This day will live long in the memory.

One of the arguments for deletion appears to be that the media coverage at the time was not notable. Which may have been the case. But in 20 years time, when such crowds are the norm, we will still be talking about that day. Will it be allowed then?

I appreciate that Wikipedia needs to have rules and standards. It would be a real mess if it didn't. But it's also a shame that the people who are upholding those standards are applying them so rigidly that context is seemingly not allowed to be a part of the decision.

I remember being so disheartened that year. It felt like we had totally given up. However bad things get these days, it's a million miles from that.

She is a phenomenal shot stopper. If she can get better at commanding her box (and I'm sure she will), she will be one of the best imo.

That's definitely fair. The summer would have been a lot of change in one go. It's not impossible, but certainly a leap to say that we would have immediately been able to challenge for the title amid all of that change. The problems were bigger than Jonas.

I was strongly critical of Jonas at times last season and even I didn't think the summer was the right time. We had made improvements at the back end of last season that gave me some optimism. Sadly it didn't work out, but that's football.
