A tired, annoyed microraptor demands coffee, prompting a response from an off-camera human; "Sit, then." This prompts an immediate "Fuck you" from the dinosaur.

TFW you're a dinosaur but they still make you have a job and now there's humiliating down talk (they have no idea how highly capable a microraptor hen with caffeine withdrawal can be at mauling).

ase's design through the years. 2013: a simple, boxy-snouted dragon. looks depressed. labelled 'louis'. ~2018: a dragon labelled 'ase' next to a few scribbled-out names. looks apprehensive. their mane has grown out, their features softened, and some plate scales are now on the bridge of their snout. their eyes sport visible lashes. 2024: a nervous dragon with an awkward smile. their mane is even fluffier, and they now have a second set of ears. one more plate scale adorns their snout. 2026 (marked work-in-progress): the dragon now has horns and the very front of their mane is grown down to cover half of their face. a toothy, animalistic, though genuine smile is worn - made by pulling up into half-snarl in a face that isn't built for typical expression. a fifth plate scale adorns their snout. the lashes are no longer present. they look away bashfully - "i'm... working on it!". eyelashes are no longer prominent. there is a question mark by their name.

Her leather pouch is bulging with coins from tips, and more patrons are offering her a bunch of beer steins. She looks around blushing and exasperated by their generosity, already visibly tipsy, as she balances two silver platters stacked with dense tavern food like baked potatoes, pies, bread rolls, and more drinks. Caption: "All right, one more round, then I really gotta get back to work!"

This came to me in a dream
