Fascist regimes always reward loyalty over competence, which most of their followers wouldn't recognise anyway. I fully expect Farage and Tice to have this sort of drama at some point too, when the egos get out of hand. This drama over loyalty is what sustains any fascist regime.

Fascist regimes can only sustain one massive ego. That's when the purges start happening. That's what's happening with Trump and Musk, just like the little Bohemian corporal and Ernst Rohm, or Stalin with Trotsky, or Franco and Manuel Hedilla. There's numerous examples.
