During the interview, I shared insights about how changing our individual shopping behavior is great—and everyone should do this—but to bring about the systems change we desperately need, working together in collective action is key to creating real change. 🌍

These costs are currently being paid largely by the Global South, but we’ll all ultimately pay the $ (unless you have a deluxe bunker—lookin' at you techbroligarchy). And these same systems contribute to gross inequity, climate impact, social division & unchecked corporate power.

Our socio-economic systems incentivize & prioritize short term profits over the huge, and mostly hidden, costs to our planet—costs that are currently being paid largely by the Global South, but which we’ll all ultimately bear (unless you have a deluxe bunker—I'm looking at you techbroligarchy).
