*nodnod* Yeah. I discovered eventually that while I _could_ do all that pretty well what I really wanted was to just be able to interact at my own pace. If I needed to or wanted to just leave for a month I didn't want to worry about what people were doing while I was gone.

Being an admin/mod actually kind of sucks most of the time because you can't just relax and enjoy the community. You also have to try to keep people from doing illegal things, immoral things and/or just being general jerks to each other for no reason.

It's mostly in niche cases like these where things don't have at least a half-assed one.

It is times like these that I am glad I grew up in the era I did so that having to do something like this is not actually a hassle at all.

I see a lot of people who are put off of linux in any way because of the terminal command stuff. It makes me a little sad because it's not that hard really.

For reference: .sit is Stuff It, which still *waves hand vaguely* kind of exists but it doesn't work on linux. Which was my issue.

I used a program called 'unar'. Which will appear to not work because it has no GUI. You gotta run it off the command line in the terminal. But it works a treat.

The driest of linguine noodles. So they break off and leave them itching for days.

Spent a half hour finding a linux friendly unarchiver to open the things and while a few were still as cool as I remember time really hasn't been too kind to some of the others.

But I am holding onto them now for the love of nostalgia. (And from having to CLI extract them. >_<)

My mental health is crashing to new lows and a lot of it stems from my inability to hide reposts from otherwise lovely accounts.

I'm kind of gently unfollowing some folks right now. It's nothing personal against anybody. It's just that I am getting a lot of triggering reposts that take my being here from "A time away from The Horrors" straight into "I am Awash in the Pit of Despair".
