These findings may have implications for sleep interventions that enhance interoception through mindfulness, for which caution should be exercised for older adults and those with anxiety.

It's been a rough time in science lately. But being around these wonderful young scientists who are so excited to present their work, some at their first conference, has given me some much needed joy. Thanks @cvlneuro.bsky.social for hosting a great DACC meeting!

Slower RTs and sustained ERPs during the rejection of incongruent semantic features in older people suggest increased demands on semantic memory search through a denser representational space, created by an age-related accumulation of knowledge.

We leveraged a distributional semantic memory model to create a semantic verification task where we measured response speed and ERPs from young and older adults.
