Megafloods and ice streams create similar landform expressions - did either create Martian outflow channels?

A greyscale delta on Mars. Colours are used to highlight inverted channels and delta lobes by relative age, blue being the oldest, pink the youngest.

Noรฉmie Carlot presented an absolutely stunning map of Eberswalde delta fan, Mars. Look at all those lobes showing channel migration!

The river sediments were more resistant to erosion than the surrounding layers, creating intricate inverted channels. #EPSCDPS2025 #Mars

Dragonfly Science Goals paraphrased fr Barnes et al. 2021:

How far has probiotic chemistry progressed on Titan?
What role do the deserts play in the methane cycle?
What are the transport mechanisms?
Where and how has liquid H2O been in contact with organics?

IS THERE LIFE ON TITAN?

NASA reviews are conducted using Dual Anonymous Peer Review, meaning you don't need to depend on name-recognition when submitting grant proposals.

You may need to be at a US-based institution, though.

Speaker: We'd love to, but it's very challenging to get there.
