errr actually polypropylene, not polyethylene I think. But still...

Pales in comparison to everything else going on but the material of the everyman's clothes and bedding shifting from natural fibers to plastics is bleak.

We went and browsed around one of those mass market home goods stores and the vast majority of the bedding related items were polyester with polyethelene fill and I felt dead inside.

Feeling so adrift without my job but I have to remember that, for the rest of the year, my job is now House.

I spent the day at a gelli-plate printing workshop and I had so much fun!!!

And much like how it works with real world topics, a bunch of artists complaining/arguing/whatever to an audience of each other and the consumers will do incredibly little to effect any changes to the structures responsible for the shape of things.

this is the number one reason I avoid the wholesale following of animation people online. (The number two reason is I already see enough cartoons offline, I don't need my feed full of them too.)

In a place where you have to run the heat 2/3 of the year I'm sure sharing walls makes a HUGE difference. Even in Florida when my mom moved from her house to an apartment her electric bill cratered.

A lot of people commenting are focusing on commutes, etc as the main driver of this disparity but I suspect even more of it comes down to dwelling footprint and shared walls. I suspect the city's condo towers are doing a lot of heavy lifting here (and the prevalence of semis and rowhouses).

First played it on emulator in high school and became obsessed. It plays like a SNES game. So much sophistication in the craft from every department. Makes a lot of sense given the year, but still, wow.

Bald Eagles are back in Central Florida. This is a newly established pair, their 2nd year on this nest. The storms last year destroyed their nest, and there were no fledglings. This year looks better, as she had him out getting nesting material today. Fingers crossed. #BaldEagle #birds 🪶
