06.02.2026 23:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Only recently learning about Shane Parish. His albums Undertaker Please Drive Slow and Repertoire take interpretation to a fascinating place. I don't know if he pulls out an essence as much as retells things in a clarified voiceβthe magic is in the playing rather than the intoxication of "song."
03.02.2026 23:05 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This album is so interesting! I really like El Haris [Anxious] for its textures. And the artwork by Evelyn Hofer led me to seek her out. Ty @juddgreenstein.bsky.social

31.01.2026 15:57 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A very nice mixtape from @klofmag.com from November. I believe its editor Alex Gallacher does these? Learned about Scissor Tail Records, also Max GarcΓa Conoverβwho is apparently from Maine and recording with Haley Heynderickx. Mixtape format +1! No. 71 looks good.

Love seeing several @ooyhrecords.bsky.social artists and Takuro Okada!
15.01.2026 21:16 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I wonder if it's New Year's resolutions related to exercise? Last summer I got into a good habit on the stationary bikeβand I used "Sidestepping" to lower my heart rate. Lovely song.
14.01.2026 22:33 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Love the conceit of singing from the dentistβs chair. Also the awareness of a set with cameras. Great song, happy for this tip!

14.01.2026 19:15 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It's hard to imagine being so patient with the air you breathe. Eric Hehr gives great context to this album, and how it fit into Ammons' life. But also close feeling for the role of tone, which I just sit there and relish so much.

"But for things to change, we have to imagine more than hermit crabbing from one platform to the next: we have to resist the ways our work is becoming individualized in the first place."

This was great. She gave such eloquent responses! I was also nicely transported by those old Custom House Wharf photos from the section above π
10.01.2026 15:26 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This was nice! Really graceful, and some satisfying timbres, very woody, crackly. Great for a frigid Maine night.
10.01.2026 01:25 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0βGet To Meet Themβ feels great, looking forward to absorbing it more! Loved getting into a daydream trying to find the loop in the visualizer.

08.01.2026 00:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Listened to this one quite a few times now, it's great.
"...strumming and plucking, tapping until the shape of a song emerges" and "...how organic and conducive to day-dreaming the music is." I think they're really really good at pulling meandering sound into a solid, locomotive body.
Listened to the single every day of the last few. I get so charged up but with a clear mind. Great song
06.01.2026 21:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Some great advice from Stinson. I like the emphasis on the tactile aspect of shows, also: βIf you mean it, youβre not gonna be able to get rid of it.β

06.01.2026 02:15 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Like the culture suddenly needs the one thing-a-ma-bob and Young goes, "Oh, here! I have one in my garage from a few years back. You go ahead and take it."
02.01.2026 17:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0What a great essay. "Contemporary music utilising older instruments or idioms isnβt new or unusual, and when itβs anachronistic it only reinforces the idea of a linear history." I hope our concept of folk becomes more like this going forward. Having an eye for past's involvement with present.
02.01.2026 17:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Treize ans, wow.
