While the paper hasn't come out just yet, the news certainly has. Proud to announce our discovery of color patterning in a sauropod dinosaur. Will go in depth tomorrow.

Reโ€evaluation of a soft crested Edmontosaurin, with implications for hadrosaurid life appearance and diversity Hadrosaurid dinosaurs are generally regarded as โ€œcrestedโ€ or โ€œnon-crestedโ€ depending on the presence or absence of a bony cranial crest. At least one supposedly โ€œnon-crestedโ€ hadrosaur is known to ha...

Happy #MosasaurMonday from Eustace, the holotype skull of Jormungandr walhallensis discovered in North Dakota by the NDGS.

We were tasked with taking this not-quite-complete skull (right) and digitally restoring it for display at the NDGS as well as a library just a few miles from the dig site ๐Ÿงช

#DAWNDINOS paper! We built a 3D musculoskeletal model of ~1 kg Triassic pseudosuchian archosaur Gracilisuchus. Forelimbs were a challenge. Nice articulations of ribs, vertebrae & osteoderms made a good torso & neck. Probably quadrupedal, plantigrade & not fully erect limbs. doi.org/10.1111/joa....

It's well made. But it's not a fun time, honestly. Most of the episodes are very upsetting and sad. Fascinating and interesting scifi ideas, and now I guess also some actual reality. I stopped watching because almost every episode was such a bummer.

CLUMSY MALE DINOSAURS INJURED FEMALES DURING MATING: Our new paper (Filippo Bertozzo et al. 2025), shows that a common tail injury seen in duckbilled dinosaurs was probably caused by heavy male dinosaurs clumsily crushing the spines of females during mating.
