Big day at U.S. District Court in D.C. where Sean Dunn, the D.C. Sandwich Guy, is on trial for misdemeanor assault of a federal officer.

Border Patrol agent Gregory Lairmore is on the stand narrating surveillance video of the sammie toss.

'Now he’s struck me with the sandwich,' Lairmore says.

I really thought they were going to win that. Brutal. Really brutal.

Shead might be better than Quickley. I think that's awesome for Shead (probably my favourite Rap at the moment) but it's not a positive for the Raps.

Perhaps this is all wishful thinking and what we see in public is what we're getting, a 1998 style Tory banker who's now a Liberal because everything has shifted right. I just hope there's a battle behind the scenes that's understandably kept out of the news cycle to maintain our advantage.

This isn't necessarily to defend Carney; I wanted a more progressive gov't, closer to what he campaigned on, and have found myself wishing for a stronger stance against the US. I just think navigating the political battle between battling against them without causing national harm must be tough.

I agree, that clown won't act rationally and will continue to rip up his own agreements, we should have nothing to do with them. At the same time, I think Carney needs to walk a tightrope to ensure we aren't the primary target of the baby's tantrums.

Inside Kawhi Leonard’s bizarre list of secret demands from Raptors and how they line up with the alleged Clippers deal During 2019 contract talks, Leonard’s camp wanted a trade for Paul George, Leafs shares and at least $10 million a year in no-show sponsorship income.

In 2019 Kawhi Leonard’s uncle asked the Raptors for a piece of the Leafs and a Paul George trade, but also for two notable extras: no-show sponsorships, and ownership shares in outside companies. Which he seems to have gotten with Aspiration, and the Clippers. www.thestar.com/sports/rapto...

If your phone has keyboard sounds on, and you're under the age of 70, I'm judging you. How is this still a thing in 2025?

❝I thought America was fabulous. Take pizza for example. For years I’d been thinking, I wish someone would invent a new kind of food. In England it was always egg and chips, sausage and chips, pie and chips … anything and chips. After a while it just got boring, y’know? But you couldn’t exactly order a shaved Parmesan and rocket salad in Birmingham in the early ’70s. If it didn’t come out of a deep-fat fryer, no one knew what the fuck it was. But then, in New York, I discovered pizza. It blew my mind wide fucking open. I would buy ten or twenty slices a day. And then, when I realized you could buy a great big pizza all for yourself, I started ordering them wherever we went. I couldn’t wait to get back home and tell all my mates: β€˜There’s this incredible new thing. It’s American and it’s called pizza. It’s like bread, but it’s better than any bread you’ve tasted in your life.’ I even tried to recreate a New York pizza for Thelma once. I made some dough, then I got all these cans of beans and pilchards and olives and shit and put them on topβ€”it must have been about 15 quid’s worth of gearβ€”but after ten minutes it just came dribbling out of the oven. It was like someone had been sick in there. Thelma just looked at it and went, β€˜I don’t think I like pizza, John.’ She never called me Ozzy, my first wife.❞

Unfortunately, no. They waterboard you with it at the start of the game but it will get better over time. The expeditions and stories will generally be pretty cringe.

He's Randy Carlyle 2.0, total boat anchor for the team. They're most likely not good enough but with his get shelled and hope approach, they're definitely not good enough.

This doesn't undo 2 years of waste on Reaves but getting out from under him with something of remotely tangible value coming back is still a win.

Brad is getting a little better around the edges this offseason. Probably too little too late but it is an improvement.

Marner was my favourite Leaf for quite some time. Always believed he'd find a way to make it work. Bolting to a cushy tax haven on a similar AAV after blocking a trade out of town at the deadline is going to rightfully make him a hated man in Toronto.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that most people who voted for Liberal candidates did not think they were voting to make it easier for DHS to get access to their personal information.
