I used to be that ‘subs > dubs’ kind of guy but overtime I realized most of the arguments against dubs were pretty baseless. And as anime are more varied in terms of genre and tone, dubbing for them has actually gotten better and more interesting imo.

Like even you doubt how they view/present themselves when their actions say otherwise, ya just gotta respect them for the time being. After all, some ppl are still figuring out their own gender/sexuality anyways.

Fr even for mannerisms and actions. Like some ppl just think looking a certain way or identifying as a certain gender means having just one subset of mannerisms/traits and it always boggles my mind. Even more ironic when the complaints are from queer ppl or anyone on the spectrum lol.

Hard truth: Just because you don't like a piece of media? That doesn't mean it's bad. Sometimes, you just aren't the right audience. Sometimes, it really is just a matter of taste. Technical skill does exist in sexual adult content. I can't stress enough that skilled artists work on stupid shit.

The homogenisation and consolidation of buisinesses and brands has led to the erosion of the midlist, the indie movie or band or comic. There's a real sense of "I'll only try media that's already popular / famous," and I'm begging you to look for the weird shit, the experimental, the niche.

Never forget that Norman Rockwell, debatably the most famous American artist to ever put brush to canvas, was not afraid to show the ugliness along with the good. Having his work/reputation sanitized and trimmed into marketable nostalgia is about American as it gets.

Really wish people learned to deal with the weird little thoughts in their heads and built trust that the things their brain conjures up and chooses to respond to does not reflect their morality. Your actions do. That's all this puritanical shit is. People scared of their own thoughts and feelings.

I strongly recommend you do the same and post about it to inspire others. We are a bigger group of people than you might think. The effects of the growing boycott are already visible and if we can make an example of DISNEY of all companies there is some hope.
